When Dogs Die
This piece is about the loss of my childhood best friend, my dog Princess. I recreated her last moments through carved foam and stuffed stockings. The process of assembling the parts made me sit and experience unresolved emotions I had toward her passing.

Do You Ever Feel the intimidating eyes of Scruity?
Yarn embroidered into canvas this piece is supposed to encapsulate the feeling of judgment and scrutiny that many people feel throughout their lives. The eyes are knowing and almost hostile.
As I grew up every night I slept under the quilt that is displayed in this piece. It was made by my great-grandmother who shares my middle name, Tylie. As she is gone now, I wanted to replicate her art into something new. I reimagined her pattern and turned it into a panel of wallpaper along with a wall hanger. I hope to not only carrying on her name but also her artistic vision.
